Analytics, search and affiliate measurement

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure page use, site searches and outbound Amazon-link clicks. When your browser allows it, Google's tag can use cookies or similar identifiers and process technical information such as device/browser details and approximate location. Search events include the search text, referring page and result count; Amazon-click events can include the referring page, product identifier and recommendation role. These events measure site use and handoffs, not completed orders.

On this site, search also stores up to the latest 200 search entries in your browser (query, time, referrer and result count). Clearing site data removes that local copy, not data already sent to service providers.

Cloudflare hosts this site. Hosting/security logs may include IP addresses and request details. Some Amazon links use an internal redirect; its measurement records product or search destination, referring page, country, browser/request information and placement metadata to help evaluate links and filter obvious automated requests. Direct Amazon links and internal redirects do not follow identical measurement paths.

Amazon destinations use our affiliate tracking ID and Amazon's own privacy practices apply after you leave the site. We do not receive your Amazon account or payment details from these site analytics events. Read the affiliate disclosure, Google Privacy Policy, Cloudflare Privacy Policy and Amazon Privacy Notice.

Do not enter passwords, addresses or other personal details into site search; search text appears in the URL and may be included in analytics and request/referrer logs. You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser or block analytics requests. Clearing browser data does not erase records already processed by Google, Cloudflare or Amazon. This page describes the features currently used; it does not promise that browsing is anonymous or cookie-free.
