Editorial policy
Short version: our goal is to help you eliminate dead zones with the fewest steps. We prioritize stability (low drops/jitter) over spec-sheet speed.
How we make recommendations
- Intent first: we try to match the fix to the problem (coverage vs stability vs interference).
- Physics over hype: placement and wired backhaul matter more than Wi‑Fi version numbers.
- Fewer, better picks: we prefer a small set of reliable options over giant lists.
- Compatibility: we avoid recommendations that only work in edge cases.
What we consider ‘good’
- Consistency: stable roaming and fewer random drops.
- Backhaul options: Ethernet when possible, MoCA when coax exists.
- Setup sanity: clear apps, decent defaults, and minimal weirdness.

Updates and accuracy
We update pages when we learn something new, when products change, or when a setup path becomes unreliable. If you spot an issue, use the most relevant troubleshooting page and cross-check manufacturer/ISP instructions.
